Terms of Use — Puentes Matamoros

Effective: November 4, 2026

Puentes Matamoros (the “App”) is a free, ad-free mobile app that shows wait times at the international bridges between Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros, Tamaulipas. It is developed and operated by Bravovalley LLC (“we”), through its Bravo Tech Systems brand. These terms apply to your use of the App. By using it, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

Summary

  • The App is free. There are no purchases, subscriptions or ads, and no account is needed.
  • Wait times are estimates. They can be wrong, late or missing. Plan with a margin.
  • We are not part of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Mexican government or any bridge operator.
  • Don’t handle your phone while driving. The App measures by itself; you never need to touch it in line.
  • How the App handles your information is explained in the privacy notice.

1. What the App provides

The App shows the wait times that CBP publishes, together with estimates calculated from anonymous measurements and reports made by people who use the App, the exchange rate, the weather, and optional alerts. Features may change, be added or be removed at any time, and the App may sometimes be unavailable.

2. Information only, with no guarantee

Wait times, line lengths, forecasts and everything else the App shows are for general information. They depend on official data, on the phones measuring at the time and on GPS, any of which can be wrong, delayed or unavailable. Bridge conditions change quickly and lanes can open or close without notice. Don’t rely on the App alone for decisions where timing matters (for example a medical appointment, a flight or a work shift), and always follow the instructions of officers and signs at the bridge.

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by CBP, the U.S. or Mexican governments, the cities of Brownsville or Matamoros, or any bridge operator. Official figures belong to their publishers.

3. Using the App safely

Obey traffic laws and keep your attention on the road. Don’t read or operate the App while your vehicle is moving. Automatic measurement, CarPlay and Android Auto are designed so you don’t need to touch your phone in line; if you need to check something, do it when it is safe and legal.

4. Measurements and reports you contribute

If you turn on measurement or send a report, you allow us to use it, anonymously and combined with other people’s, to calculate and show wait times in the App and on our website, and to improve the estimates. What is sent, and for how long it is kept, is described in the privacy notice. You can turn measurement off at any time.

Please don’t send reports you know are false. We may ignore or remove any measurement or report, for example one that looks automated, mistaken or misleading.

5. What you may not do

  • Send false information on purpose, or try to manipulate the wait times shown to others.
  • Interfere with the App or our servers, or access them by automated means beyond normal use of the App.
  • Copy, resell or redistribute the App’s data or estimates as a commercial service without our permission.
  • Use the App in a way that breaks the law.

6. Ownership and license

The App, its design, its code and the estimates it calculates belong to Bravovalley LLC. We give you a personal, free, non-exclusive license to install and use the App on your devices for your own use. The terms of the app store you downloaded the App from (Apple App Store or Google Play) also apply.

7. Other services

The App uses information and services from others, such as CBP’s published wait times, exchange-rate and weather providers, maps, and your phone’s own services (Apple, Google). We are not responsible for their content or availability.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for losses that come from relying on it, such as a missed appointment, a longer wait or a different route. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, including those of the country where you live, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

9. Ending use

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering the App, or part of it, and may stop accepting contributions from an installation that breaks these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the current version on this page with its date, and note important changes in the App’s updates. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without giving up any protection that the consumer laws of the country where you live give you.
